Bushcraft & foraging in Wales
Outdoor activities for the summer holidays - foraging and bushcraft for all ages.
Families and pets welcome.
Foraging walks
Our foraging walks will be led by the wonderful Graham Glue, of Sleeping Giant Foraging. Graham is a foraging expert with over 15 years' experience as a qualified walk leader.
The walks last around 3 hours - with nice tea break (local biccies and bara brith cake provided) - taking in a variety of habitats including verges, mixed and conifer woodlands.

Graham will talk about foraging for food, wellness and health - we'll look at preparing wild leaf salad and wild mushroom soup, as well as making various soothing balms.
Bushcraft days for young and old
These are fun, relaxed sessions, focussing on basic skills as well as the tools we use - and can make - plus lots of information about bushcraft and off-grid survival. Topics covered will include: basic shelter building (with tarps or natural resources), water sources and treatment, foraging, fires, signals and mindset.

Our tutor is Bill Currey from Green Wood Bushcraft who has been teaching outdoor living skills for nearly a decade. Bill has run sessions at forest schools, led international expeditions and built his bushcraft and communication skills over the years - we're delighted he's joining the Woodsong team for these sessions.
