Programm: We have covered areas for workshops, communal eating and relaxing so, should it rain (it likely will!), we will be fine ..and dry. But there are always walks from a to b that are uncovered - not to mention the local pub, a 20-minute stroll down our oftentimes muddy track - so plenty of waterproofs, boots and dry changes of clothes are highly recommended.

Anreise: As well as our village pub, the Shoemakers Arms, we're a 10-minute drive to Sennybridge, with a decent general store and cafe, two petrol stations and half a dozen pubs.

Freizeit: We try to build in time and space in our weekend events for people to do whatever they want. You're welcome to take the boat out for a paddle in the lake, have a go with our green-wood-work tools whittling a spoon or spatula, or exploring the woodland and beyond. All weekends begin with a little orientation session which includes a full health and safety briefing.

Wald und Forstwirtschaft: Mobile phone reception round here is pretty restricted. I get no signal in village or woodland with Vodafone. EE does get a signal to areas of the woodland - that's the emergency phone I keep ever ready. In the village, there is a public pay-phone, allowing free calls to UK landlines and mobiles. The pub has a decent wifi too.

stay in the woods

  • Songschreiben Wochenende

Our woodland covers just under 20 acres - spruce, mixed broadleaves, purple moor grass, woodland lake and rush pasture. Less than a mile outside the beautiful village of Pentre-bach, nestled between fields and other woods, nature is all around: deer, badger, fox, polecat, otter, newts, frogs and toads, buzzards and all sorts of other birds visit or live here. On a clear night, the stars are spectacular.

Just a few minutes drive north of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the views in and around our woods are spectacular. No need to drive to wander out of the woods and up into the hills above and around us. The main Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park Visitor Centre is a short 20-minute drive away.

There's a real sense of community here, based around the pub and all sorts of activities and events that happen throughout the year. Visitors are always hugely welcomed.
  • Wildes Zelten

There was a reason the Beacons became a national park - it's stunning, and all on our doorstep.
